Jessi it is that speaking the truth in love that works every time and that is exactly what you did with your daughter. It sounds like you are really doing a great job. And I just want to tell you how much I admire you. There are some huge things on your plate and you are sticking with what God has shown you is your will for your family even when bumps hit in the road. You have much wisdom on your side. I really admire how you have handled everything and kept God in your focus! Your daughter is learning very important things from you that will be lessons that will serve her well in life. I think you are doing an awesome job! :D

Wow, Jessi! After looking at the pics on your blog, it seems as if you get quite a lot done with your daughter. Even with all the distractions, I would say you are doing an excellent job. I need to be as diligent with my own ds 5. :?

Have you considered doing school in the afternoons during nap time? If you have one...or does your daughter nap too? I guess the other girls may be there by that time too, so may not work. I'm not a lot of help here, as I only have my own dc to worry with throughout our day. However, I am considering offering childcare in our home (only for 2) once summer arives next year, because we could use the extra income. So, it's good for me to read these posts and learn from the ladies , and from you as you share your struggles.

I just wanted to chime in and offer my encouragement and support. I hope things are getting better for you! :D

By the way, if anyone has other work-from-home ideas please pm me. I could really use the help figuring out how to supplement my husband's income. He does a great job; but having another baby (#4 on the way) has put a lot of pressure on him and I would like to help ease that. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks!

Jessi - you are doing a super job of holding it all together, and good job of asserting yourself today - what fun to see your daughter retell her school day so happily! The only reason I asked those questions was because I wasn't sure if you were schooling your daughter in front of the 2 other little girls or if you were doing it before they got there. Doing it separate at the table with your little gal is a great way to make her feel special - and those other little honeys will just have to get their joys from being at "big girl school" instead, because only your dd gets to do school with dear mom! Keep up the good work - and don't hesitate to remind those little gals that your dd's school is great too, and you wouldn't want it any other way for her. Asserting yourself will help your dd assert herself, so keep up the good work! :D :D :D

In Christ,
Julie :)

Maybe that should be a thread all it's own, as I'm sure many of us could use some ideas on how to supplement our one-family incomes (at least I know I could!)......instead of being in a PM.....just a thought......

Jessi, my daughter used to talk about and ask when would she get to GO to school too. Or even daycare. I told her the same thing about being called to teach her at home and also that many teachers don't love the LORD like we do therefore she might have to learn icky stuff about GOD there....to which she was HORRIFIED at! She still is. :D I also kept telling her how much of a blessing it was for both her and me to be able to be home together and learn/teach....that many moms and children have to go through the day missing each other. Now she loves that she gets to be home and do school! :D
