Who has their first grader in LHFHG?

It sounds like you have a pretty good plan. And yes, the then 5 yo could sit in on the left side plus storytime. I think quite a few families end up doing that. My 2 and 3.5 yos even do some of the activities, although I know they don't fully understand everything. You can see how much he is getting and then decide if you want to do LHFHG again with him later or put them together for Beyond next year.
