I donated mine to the Book Samaritan. For this, all myTM's. They deliver to families in need. Send it via media mail and it's not that pricey. You can go consignment to Second Harvest, but I found it cumbersome to go through what I had and list it all. Some books that could be used as a one time use...drawing books, homeschooling books, I donated to our church homeschool library with some convention cd's. Other books that dd grew out of, I donated to Goodwill.netpea wrote:WHERE did you guys donate your homeschool stuff? I have stuff to get rid of too. Any book we can reread and is useful for an adult I keep. I kept dd's favorites as well, as we went through some of them together. I also keep informative books until we or dd outgrows them. I only have one child, but anything a younger can still use, I'd keep.basesloaded wrote:Great post! I have been doing pretty well with letting other curr items go but what about all those "reading" books on the shelf. How do you decide what "extra" reading books to keep. HOD is so full and uses such great books that I keep wondering if I should get rid of these "xtra" books. Will they won't to read them or even have time to? How do you decide about these?

I donated all of my books to the local (not so great) library. They were really appreciative. I would usually take all of them to Goodwill but didn't this time.netpea wrote:WHERE did you guys donate your homeschool stuff? I have stuff to get rid of too. I got rid of a lot of our books on the shelf as well. It looks so nice and neat. The very last bag that I got rid of yesterday were books off the shelf that we could do without. I only kept the books that were listed in my HOD guides and future guides as well as some of the classics that I know we will continue to re-read. Anything else I can borrow or interlibrary loan from the library.basesloaded wrote:Great post!
