I agree with this. Both have been really good, one building on the other. We have loved them both because they fit perfectly where ds was at. I'm excited to start Bigger in August, but admit I can not wait to start Preparing. I've heard so many good things about it.psreit wrote:We've only used LHFHG and Beyond so far. I really can't say we liked one better than the other. I gather, from what others are saying, that we will feel the same way about the guides we have yet to do. As we get finished with one, I get excited about the next. It is exciting seeing dd grow in knowledge and, most importantly, grow spiritually as we enjoy each guide.
All-time, hands down, favorite HOD guide you have ever used

I'm going to say Beyond, only because I haven't done Preparing yet, but I am REALLY looking forward to it next year. We have used LHTH, LHFHG, Beyond and Bigger.

We've only used Beyond and Preparing so far (which were both AWESOME) and are in the beginning weeks of Bigger and CtC right now (which are also both AWESOME ) But I have to say that Preparing holds a very special place in my heart. It was the guide I began with my son (10 at the time) that really helped him to be able to see how God's plan has come to pass throughout history and gave him (both of us really) so many "ah ha!!" moments. I still remember how excited he was to tell me that he finally felt like he understood the Bible better because he was seeing when things were happening and what led up to them. I feel like Preparing brought us so much closer --reading, discussing and DISCOVERING things together. Can't wait to repeat it again with my dd next year

BTW, we are really enjoying Bigger and CtC right now, so give me a few months and all this could change!
