After looking at the placement area, it looks like two programs would be best for us. B/9 will fit well into Bigger with the expansion package, and D/5/6 will fit well into LHFHG.
And those two programs go very well together as far as what they cover. There is a lot of flexibility in LHFHG as far as being able to slow it down if you need to and stretch it out longer. Those are the two programs we are doing and we love them.

Tana,
I just wanted to welcome you and agree that the ladies are pointing you in the right direction!

We did LHFHG and Bigger (with Drawn into the Heart...) this year too (with a 2 year old terror running around and a 6th grader with his own mix of things). So, I just wanted to encourage you that you can do it too - and still have time to live your life.
As my3sons suggested, easing into it is a good idea. LHFHG can be done half speed until you're ready to go full steam ahead. We did that this year as well.
Blessings,
Carrie

my3sons,
Maybe you can make a new post giving us a break day of your day. I'll be doing Bigger and Little together in the fall. My boys will be 7.5 & 5 when we start.
I'm doing Beyond now and loving it!
Tana,
I have a Caleb too and we live in N. Central Florida. Nice to "meet" you.

I'd love to share what we've done for scheduling this year! Get ready though, because it changed a bit over the year. I typed this out already under a different thread. I have 3 entries on that thread, so you'll be able to see how my sons grew and were able to take on more responsibility as the year went on. Now that we're at the end of Bigger... (just one more week left!), my ds uses the guide himself very easily. I meet with him on all boxes I need to, but it's easy as pie. His using the guide has been a nice development since he'll be using parts of the Preparing Guide independently next year too. He loves putting a check in the boxes when he finishes. Anyway, here's that link about schedules - my 3 entries are under my3sons:

Hope it's of some use to you!

Hi Tana!

I wanted to say welcome, too. You've got some great advice here, so I don't have anything to add. Glad to have you!

I just wanted to sincerely thank you all for the warm welcome and advice. I've been on some fantastic boards/groups before (psst...Mary

) but I don't know that I've ever felt as welcome as I have here.
You have given so much to digest, and I will happily do so. I am excited and encouraged that this is the right path for us.
So, THANK YOU ALL!
