Julie,
We used a liquid pencil product in the past (but not Sharpie) and what we found was you couldn't really hold the pencil like a normal pencil--you had to hold it more perpendicular to the page than a normal pencil--and after awhile my kids found it hard to keep it up. Have you found that with the Sharpie one?

I think I'm right there with you on my favorite new school product. :D What a fantastic idea and product! I hope I'll be able to find refills for the liquid graphite easily. Thanks for sharing Julie! :D
Me too, Patty! I filled a whole page playing around with them tonight, and the rest of my family was pleased with them as well. Thanks, Julie! :D

It is supposed to be a clicky, unbreakable "Sharpie Liquid Pencil that writes and erases like a pencil, dries like a Sharpie". I only bought 2, because they were more spendy than normal clicky pencils. We'll see how it goes! :D

I bought these for my 18 y/o yesterday. He is in love, lol. He says they're "awesome" and asked me to thank Julie for getting the word out. So, thanks Julie! :D

My son is having problems with the Sharpie pencil on his notebooking pages :-( He's wants to go back to a regular pencil. It has been working fine on regular lined paper, but not the notebook, I guess I will get to put it to use.

My ds can't seem to get the Sharpie pencil to write consistently. It sometimes writes and sometimes doesn't. My dh said he had the same problem making out the grocery list with it. I wonder what we are doing wrong.

Same here, krains. We were all happy about them last night but have found that they're not working so great for us on the notebooking pages. Oh well, I will still use them because I seem to have the knack of it and we'll wait for Sharpie to improve on it in the future. In the meantime my son is using one of his drawing pencils that writes darker than a normal pencil.

Just talked to a friend who is using Rev to Rev and she was telling me that the Notebook pages were different. The paper is glossy and harder to write and color on. I was telling her about this link and I was wondering if any of you are using the new Sharpie pencil on these pages and is it working for you?

THanks!

I just wanted to pop-in and mention that the Student Notebook pages for Rev2Rev are printed on the exact same paper as all of the other notebooks. Some of the boxes the students write-in in the notebook in Rev2Rev are a bit darker tone, more yellowy, which may make the page same more glossy.

In writing in the notebook ourselves in Rev2Rev we've found that a Bic .7 mechanical pencil worked well for us (which just happened to be what we had in the house). It also works very well to write on the page in black pen, which I am considering letting my son do this year. I remember beginning to write in pen for some of my work right before high school, so I was thinking of letting my son try that this year in the student notebook only. I think it may be more of a keepsake that way as pencil tends to fade over time on any paper. We'll see. :D

Blessings,
Carrie
