HOD Thanks for "well rounded" kids!

Post by mrsrandolph » Tue Jun 25, 2013 5:53 pm

My 3 oldest kids (10, 9, and 7) attended a church day camp last week at my mother's church. It was a small group of only 20 "campers". They had daily adventures where they did things like traveled to ranches to ride horses, visit museums and the like. They also had age appropriate Bible studies. My children were the only homeschooled particpants.

I am so thankful to HOD!! The camp leaders bragged on how much they "knew" about the world and how well "socialized" they were. Funnily, they even (corrected) a bible lesson or two.

I am so thankful to Carrie, Julie, and Mike and all who do what they do at HOD. You are creating smart, socialized, and well rounded kids to be future leaders in this world!! YAY HOD!

I just re read this and hope it does not sound like I am "tooting" my horn. My kids are sinners like everyone else, and I am the chief!!

It's always encouraging to see the fruit from homeschooling :)
You are right. HOD does produce well-rounded kids. I'm looking forward to coming back next year :D

What a great memory you'll have of your dc there, Shannon! :D Thank you for your kind words - of all the things we hope dc walk away with after using HOD, loving the Lord with all of their heart... well, nothing can be more important or lasting than that! :D May the Lord continue to bless your homeschooling your dc!
