We're using LHFHG with a soon-to-be 5 year old son who has done 2 years of preschool, and just finished day 4 today----we love it, and he's really enjoying himself... He's loving the rhymes in motion, the art projects, even the workbooks and the memory verses! at least, for everything except the read alouds

So i guess i'm wondering... i've been racking my brains as to how we picked up the language when we were kids (from school, tv shows, and storybooks, i think?) Based on that, I'm not really worried and thinking it's fine just to keep reading as I've read on the forums that even native English speaking children usually have attention issues at first with the Burgess books. But just wanted to toss it out here if anybody had any experience using HOD in a family that does not use English as a first language? I saw the other post where the child was adopted and learning English as a second language, but the family used English daily, so there would be the learning by immersion advantage, am I right?

Any thoughts? Not sure if maybe I'm asking the question too early into the program, but thanks in advance, gals!
