God's timing is so, so very good! I am a planner. After unexpected surgery with a very long recovery for me with it I have been a little frustrated that our schedule is off and we won't be done when I had planned. I know, I know

We're homeschooling. It's okay. Be flexible. Give yourself grace! I kept telling myself ALL of this and started to feel a smidgen better, but I can't help it. I like to stay with my plan! And then God allowed me to see that His timing really IS perfect
Next week we'll be doing our Civil War week in Bigger (Unit 26). It just so happens my dad was able to take part in a reenactment at a local Civil War historical site. He's never done this before and we just found out a couple of weeks ago. What a great way to kick off our unit!

What a precious picture!

God's timing is in everything - it is just sometimes hard to see it. Praising God with you for finding His hand in the midst of all of life's happenings, and praying you are on the road to recovery!

The dresses which my youngest two daughters are wearing were made for me by my great-grandmother when I was little. I am learning to sew, but I'm nowhere near ready for this kind! My oldest daughter's dress came from Colonial Williamsburg.
I am recovering well, but am surprised to still feel like I'm recovering! I do have to say that even though my incision is sore most every night it is a reminder of God's faithfulness. The doctors removed a benign tumor in my intestines. I appreciate the ability God gave them to diagnose and treat me as well as His faithfulness in the biopsy coming back perfectly normal. I'm definitely still healing, but feeling healthier than I have in a couple of years, which makes sense after they told me it had been growing for 3-4 years

lissiejo - I have just prayed for our Father, the great physician, to completely heal you as you recover from your surgery. Thank you for sharing, so I know how to pray, and may God continue to walk by your side through your recovery and show you His daily provision and faithfulness!
In Christ,
Julie
