Group project: Little Pilgrims Progress

Post by Mibellesmom » Fri Mar 08, 2013 6:08 pm

Hi,

I am teaching a co-op class this semester, using DITHOR. The suggested group project for the genre is a mural. I'd like to do something else, since we did a bar graph with our last genre, and the kids were not very enthusiastic about a crafty project. I was thinking a skit, but not sure what I would do. Thanks in advance for all the ideas!

DITHOR is full of wonderful projects already! I'd just flip through the genres and look at the group projects for ideas. Many can easily be converted to a different genre. Also, we have done a LOT of the individual projects more as 'group projects' with our family, as well as back when I taught DITHOR to other dc. So flipping through and checking out those ideas would be helpful too. We really enjoyed both the bar graph and the mural, but to each his own. We have done a skit for DITHOR, and the plans were super helpful at teaching it in incremental sessions. I can't remember which genre it went with though.

We enjoyed the bar graph a lot! Just trying to think of something different for next time, due to time, materials & Art class is after mine. I should have worded differently. I was wondering if anyone have done a group project based on this specific book, Little Pilgrims Progress. Thanks, I am going to look through teachers manual again.
