Starting Little Hands to Heaven

I purchased Little Hands to Heaven last year in the early spring. However, I'm just now starting the program with my daughter, Maddie. She will be 5 in September. Did I wait too long to start? What happens if we're not finished Little Hands to Heaven by the time her birthday arrives? I'm very worried about this. I just want to make sure she's on the right track. I regret not starting last spring.

So far, the lessons have been wonderful! Maddie just finished with the letter "A." I have attached a picture of her to share.

Good morning! I'm new to HOD myself, but my almost 4-year-old is doing LHTH and loving it too! You have a beautiful daughter, and she looks like she's really enjoying it.
Unless you are planning to put her into a charter school or christian school, etc., I don't see any need to either worry or hurry. Many people have used the next program, Little Hearts For His Glory, at 6 or even 7 years old. Don't feel that you are failing because she won't start K right when she turns 5

So she is about 4.5? That is really a good age for LHTH, actually. You could go through summer though, to start LHFHG sooner, but really she is in the target age range, so no worries, since she appears to be thriving..!

What a pretty little lady! I wouldn't worry one bit. "Little Hearts for His Glory," which is the next guide, has a target age range from 5 to 7 yo. Your dd will be just fine. "Little Hands to Heaven" has so much to offer. We used it with all 3 of our sons, and they all had simply the best start to homeschooling. You have lots of fun days ahead of you! I really enjoy taking pictures and sharing them on the HOD Weekly Check-In. You might enjoy that too! It's a super way to remember to take pictures, encourage others, and cherish the journey along the way!

I'm jumping in to agree with the pp. Even if your not done with it by the time upyour dd is 5 I would just keep going in it until your done, then go to the next one whenever that may be. We took about 1 1/2 years to do LHTH with ds. We started just after he turned 4, went slowly for a long time and then just after he turned 5 (in Nov) we added a fine motor skills book (the kinder option from LHFHG) and also the Reading Lesson. We just now, this week actually, got done with Lhth and we've started LHFHG, halfspeed. So again, I think you'll be fine!!! Enjoy!
