Reading directions IS important & great EE customer service

Post by 8arrows » Fri Jan 25, 2013 9:56 pm

I just wanted to give a plug for EE. We have been enjoying both the intermediate and advanced version this year for three of my children. I am quite sure we have never executed such cool experiments. Well, during one of the experiments, I hear a child comment, "Hey, isn't that smoke?" Ummm, yes, it definately was. When the directions state (in RED) that you should not leave the alligator clips and the battery connected to your motor, they actually MEAN it (smile). My children learned a great lesson about following directions; however, the next day, our battery pack no longer worked. I called EE and admitted our lack of ability to follow instructions. They were amused and sent me a new battery pack and alligator clips just in case without charge, even though it was OUR fault. I think that is pretty amazing customer service. I am glad to see HOD (a company with great customer service themselves) partner with such helpful people.

That sounds one of those lessons that will be remembered for many years to come. Go EE.

We had a great customer service experience with EE as well. One of the threads on a light bulb was malformed so it would not screw into the socket. They sent not just one extra, but 4 just in case, all at no expense to me. They rock customer service. My husband wasn't so sure about having to pay the replacement lab fees for two other children that still have to do that level, but after that, he said that we couldn't have picked a better company to deal with if there is an issue. The absolutely stand behind their product. Thanks HOD for choosing so well!!

   We have a similar story, only it involved mistaking an axle for a glue stick. Turns out axles don't melt well, though they do just enough to be too crooked to use. EE sent us a new one for free too - great customer service. Yes, HOD chose well!!!
