Hi Ladies,
This is our first year of HOD, and so far I am loving it! I have a 9yo ds in 4th grade using Preparing. He is really enjoying the independence, especially with the Draw and Write thru History! That is his absolute favorite which definitely surprised me because he has never been a "draw-er."

My 7yo ds is in 2nd grade. We are using Bigger 1/2 speed (and only 4 days/wk) because of the amount of writing. He is capable of doing the work, just hates the physical act of writing. He is doing well, also. My plan for him is to go 1/2 speed all year this year and then pick it up full speed for 3rd grade. He is doing math & la full speed. I also have a 5yo dd who is doing LHFHG 3 days a week (math & fms daily). She loves school and would love to do more, but with my concentration on the older two I feel this is plenty for K. My question comes with my 3yo dd (she will be 4 in Dec.) She is constantly asking to "do school" and wants to listen in on LHFHG storytime, rhymes, history, and science. I have a fun pre-writing/cutting preschool book which I have been using when I have the time. She is very smart, can count to 20, and knows about 1/2 her letters. My question is whether I should somehow try to combine my two girls in something without slowing my 5yo way down. I am thinking more for next year (pretending it would be my almost 5yo K year), but since my older dd is already working thru the book, I am not sure how to accomplish this. My plan was not to have her in K for another 2 years. BUT, I think they would love to work together and would be able to do so successfully if I could manage to get them combined. I don't want to push my 3yo too much, though. She is still ONLY 3!

But she is listening to half the curriculum anyway!!! (Will she be bored in 2 years when she gets to it?) Was this clear? Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you!!!
Laura
