DIOHR with Preparing quest.

Post by renee » Sat Sep 01, 2012 11:13 am

How did Carrie intend for the reading and DIHOR workbook to work in Preparing? I guess I do not understand. I was assuming reading the book was meant to take place four days a a week and the workbook just three, it that correct?

He is a fourth grader. He is an advanced reader, but he needs to practice his reading out loud skills. He mumbles. I assumed the book packages marked 4/5 would be the appropriate level for a fourth grader who reads rather well. Is that correct?

Thanks for you help!

For Preparing, you only need to do both the reading and the workbook assignments 3 days a week as scheduled in Preparing (and of course review any notes in the DITHOR teacher's guide). You will get through about 4 genres by the end of Preparing. With level 4/5, there are days when the student has to read some of his assigned book out loud to you, so that will give your son the practice he needs.

Thank you so much. That clears it up for me.
