What to turn over to g-parents (Preparing)

Since I will be out of the home (teaching art for a homeschool co-op) all day Tuesdays, I need advice about what portions of Preparing to turn over to the Grandparents. Frankly, I don't want to miss any of it!!

Your thoughts?

Hi Shannon! Do you think they could teach an entire day of PHFHG? I had my Dad do this, as it was easier than coming back and trying to finish out things later. BTW, my Dad (who had no teaching background other than Sunday school teaching) really LOVED teaching the boys! He didn't feel overwhelmed, and was actually thankful that he could step into our normal routine rather than have an entire day of free time stretch before him for him to fill. He still talks about his teaching the boys so fondly! In fact, when he found out he had cancer and couldn't help out during the rest of the book fairs I would be attending, he got teary-eyed and said, "Boy, I'm gonna miss teaching those boys". But, what do you think the grandparents on your end would think of teaching a whole day (provided you gave them some kind of written down schedule/routine they could easily follow)?

They probably could do it, but I also have 2 others. One in LHTH and one in LHFHG.

I would do the most time consuming things I believe. Or maybe whatever your child dislikes most

How old or how good of a reader is your Preparing child? I ask this because what I would likely do would be to make a list of the order I wanted my child to do the activities, and whatever they got to would be where I would pick up. This would also be very nice if you could go over a few things before you left for the day. Like go over the math lesson or go over the Grammar, go over the DITHOR stuff, etc.

Our order would be based on Jayden's abilities:

Ind history
Ind science
DITHOR reading
dictation
Rotating Box
Math
English
Bible
poetry
History reading
History project
Storytime

Based on my preferences I'd move the history reading and story time up pretty close to the top, but I've heard the grandparents read and it's tedious and hard to follow... of course for just that one day I wouldn't mind her reading to herself. So I might bump that up anyway
