Another way to find replies is at the top of the page, next to the link "user control panel", is another link called "view your posts"

True, that is easier. That's what I do becuz I didn't want all the emails in my inbox. But if you WANTED an actual notification then this works!!! I guess I shoulda mentioned the view your post in the first place!! 
In that user control panel, you can do lots of things like add a signature to the bottom of your posts!
