Dd keeps asking if we can start school....

Post by John'smom » Thu Jul 26, 2012 8:14 am

The last time she asked me if we could start school, I asked her why she wanted to start early. She told me because she was so excited. I asked her what she was excited about and she said HOD. :D :D :D

This is so cool!

My son (age 5.5), said "I want to do my schoolwork!!" This morning. He had only been awake for a few minutes and already requesting to do HOD. !! What a wonderful way to start his school "career". :) HOD is giving us a great start. And I keep reading that the guides just get better and better.

I am just as excited as he is. :) :)

Are you starting in september, with your dd? We went ahead and started now so we can take a day off each week for co-op and various other days "off" or sick days and not get behind.

We definitely started school about 4 weeks earlier than I intended! I still stagger started, but even that happened quicker than I expected. I'm typically not one who lets my kids determine a course of action for our family, but when EVERY SINGLE ONE of my girls is begging to start lessons again, how can I say, "No!" to that? I'm so happy we started early. I made sure I got a full month's break, but honestly having our "normal" routine back in place has made our home much more peaceful!

We are starting August 13th. I'm super excited too.

Thanks for sharing how excited your dc are. It's just an encouragement to hear.

Glad I'm not the only one with excited kids! I've been trying to get everything ready for school to start and I've been shoo-ing everyone out because they keep getting into all my books and goodies! :D My bigger kids keep looking over my shoulder saying "Oooo, is that for me?" !

It's shaping up to be a FUN year!

Blessings on your school year! :D
