Carrie plans on releasing a guide a year. The latest guide Missions to Modern Marvels will release this August. That is the last of the elementary/middle school guides. She then will start writing the guides for high school. If you look at the bottom of the scope and sequence chart you can see the plans http://www.heartofdakota.com/scope.php

The guide she just released this spring (Missions to Modern Marvels) is considered age 12-14 as written, but is considered 9th-10th grade with extensions. Rev2Rev is also considered high school if you do extensions and make sure to order the advanced science kit.

According to the catalog, Carrie's next 4 guides will all be high school level even w/o extensions. The next one to come out has a geography focus, then one covering world history, and the last 2 guides will cover American history (1st guide up to 1900 w/government; 2nd guide 1900 to present w/economics).

Depending on the age of your children, if you aren't to high school yet, you will be able to use the high school guides. If you are already there (as we are), it is very easy to make the middle school guides into high school guides will extensions and some additions. There is a whole topic (near the top of the Main Board) called "Beefing up for high school" or something like that.

Oh, I see you said that in your original post. Well, in that case, the possibilities are endless!!

Enjoy all the wonderful HOD guides ahead of you. I wish so much that I had known about HOD when my kids were younger. We didn't find HOD until my kids were 15, 13, 11, and 9. I didn't know that I could use it for high school so I didn't use it with my oldest, but the younger 3 have used it the past 2 years. It is what I always wanted my homeschooling to look like, but was trying (rather unsuccessfully) to pull together myself.
