Received my MTMM package today! WONDERFUL book choices.

Post by arstephia » Wed May 02, 2012 3:03 pm

The first book I took out of the box was Under the Hawthorne Tree It is SO good! I am a fast reader so I am already halfway through it. I never thought much about the Irish Potato Famine! What an amazing book. It sure makes me feel blessed as I stand before my full pantry and wonder which of many meal options I should assemble for the evening meal. My kids whine about being STARVING, but they (thankfully) have no idea. This book will really leave a mark with them. I can't wait for my kids to read it, but my dd (currently doing CTC) picked it up and I had to playfully snatch it from her and told her she had to wait a couple of years to read it for school. I don't know if I can hold off that long. It is just so good. I am going to have to read under my bed covers with a flashlight from now on so the kids don't try to sneak away and read these great books. I have thoroughly enjoyed the Rev2Rev books this year, and I can see that trend will continue. Every year I say "this is my favorite guide" and then we do the next one... what a blessing this curriculum is.
I've done all the guides now with at least one child and still feeling the HOD LOVE. LOL!

:D 8) :D Thanks for sharing. I pored over the samples of MTMM last night, reading the book descriptions, sampling the guide layout. Wow, wow, and wow. I continue to admire Carrie's genius and how the Lord has truly grown her and gifted her. I also love that I know that her family has carefully prayed over each part of the guide. Each book and assignment has been carefully, prayerfully, and purposefully chosen. This guide is years away for us but it's the looking ahead at those marvelous guides that keeps me coming back here.

LOL! This made me laugh. Yes, I struggle with waiting, so I ordered as soon as I had the email. Needless to say very little laundry got done today. Clean clothes are overrated. BTW, I finished that book and have now started The Factory Girl book. Again. I.NEVER.KNEW.THIS.STUFF!!!!! I have jokingly told people I homeschool my kids so I can get the education I never got when I was their age. That isn't too far from the truth I am now seeing. Another great book and I suspect a late night. I can't put this thing down.

I agree with this!

I only have one I'm homeschooling and figured I would sell my used packages after I'd finished each year, but I can't bear to part with them because I want to read through all the books again! I think it would be great summer reading to review before we cover the same time period in high school.

Anyhow, I can't wait to order MTMM for next year :D !
