Getting ready for RTR.....

Post by SMiles » Fri Sep 16, 2011 3:23 am

Hi Ladies,
Last week Julie posted some pics on how she set up her notebook etc. for Rev to Rev and I was wondering if anyone has a link with the same idea of RTR? I tried the search tool, but nothing came up.

Thanks for your help and direction,
Sherry

Hi,
I never had an answer, but this is what I came up with as I worked through the guide beforehand. Hope it helps.

1 binder for Student Sheets (We actually ended up using 2. The notebooking pages in one and everything else in another.)
Maps printed from Map Trek (I only printed the student ones ds needed. For the color teacher one that they mark from, we just use the computer.)
Photocopy Narration Tips for student
Photocopy Written Narration Tips for student
Photocopy Written Narration Skills for student
Photocopy Poetry for Units 1-35 (if you choose to copy these)
Photocopy Extension schedule and place in student folder
Notebook for English work
Print MHBW from online (p. 5-6, 19-40, 67, and 92-93)
Notebook for final drafts or typewritten copies of MHBW assignments
Photocopy dictation sheets
Notebook for dictation
Common place book
Purchase Bible journal (later in the program)
Print out Phil. 1 for memorization
Science notebook with 3 tabs (“Notebook Entries” Unlined, “Written Narrations” lined, and “Science Experiments” Unlined) Science experiments may use the Science Lab Form-35 needed if used)
Purchase index cards for Story Time
What in the World? On my itunes and in a folder

"Legend of Squanto" (2 Disc Audio Set): New schedule
Storytime change Unit 27-Day 4 Disc 1, Track 1
Storytime change Unit 28-Day 1 Disc 1, Track 2
Storytime change Unit 28-Day 2 Disc 1, Track 3
Storytime change Unit 28-Day 3 Disc 2, Track 1
Storytime change Unit 28-Day 4 Disc 2, Track 2
Storytime change Unit 29-Day 1 Disc 2, Track 3
Storytime change Unit 29-Day 2 No listening
Storytime change Unit 29-Day 3 No listening

Hi ladies! I haven't done this for RTR yet. I started it when Riley did BHFHG. I did it again when Wyatt began RevtoRev, and then when Riley began PHFHG. My tentative plans are to try to do this each time my dc begin a guide, other than for Beyond on down. Smiles - this is a good list that will surely help others as they begin their RTR year - thanks for taking the time to post this! :D

Is there something simliar for CTC? I have all the paint supplies and I think I have the binders and notebooks ready, but are there photocopies to be made from the geography cd or other things needing printing/copied?

Yes, thank you so much!!! I haven't been reading this board regularly, so I'd missed this when you posted it. But with a daughter who will start this guide in August, it sure is nice to see this!!!
