OT: Praise & Prayer Request

I know I'm not using HOD this year (I'll be back in the fall though - can't wait :D ) but I hope its OK for me to post this here for those of you that know me from before. I've talked on here before about my son being adopting and a couple of years ago his birthparents got in touch with us on facebook. We've been facebook friends since then and would occasionally talk or message but not very often. The birthmom contacted us last week and she is pregnant again and wants us to adopt the baby!!!!! She is due May 16th. That is only 5 weeks away or 36 days depending on how you look at it :shock: We are overjoyed and excited about this, but we have a lot to get done. We have NO baby stuff. DS is 7 and we have already gotten rid of everything. We also have a lot of paperwork and legal stuff to get done. So if you think of us, please pray for us to get this all done and for the birthmom to have peace through this whole process. Also, we don't think this will happen, but she has until 10 days after signing the surrender to change her mind and she can't sign the surrender till 3 days after the baby is born, so pray for us to have peace during those weeks as well.

Oh, Stephanie! :D What an ENORMOUS blessing from the Lord!! :D However, sometimes with enormous blessings come enormous challenges as well. Try not to worry about all the details, though. God is completely in control of this and has a special purpose for this child and your family! He will supply all your needs!

We'll be praying for you and your family, as well as this little baby and the up and coming new "big brother Samuel"! :wink:

Please keep us all posted as things happen, so we can be praying specifically for you and your family! Blessings! :D

Thank you guys so much! We got our part of the homestudy paperwork done yesterday and in the mail this morning, so now we are just waiting on the social worker to schedule interviews with us and to come see the house. The birthmom went to the doctor this morning and she is already 2 cm dialated and she feels like she is going to go early. This is her 5th baby so she should know. My parents are in Virgina visiting my sister this weekend and picking up a crib and dresser from her and won't be back till Monday so I told birthmom that baby boy has to stay put until at least next week some time. We're getting excited about another baby though. Is it bad that one of my reasons for excitement is that I will get to do all my HOD guides more than once? :P
