Bible in Preparing and CTC

I am wondering how the Bible is used in Preparing and CTC. Is it integrated into the ancient history? Is it separate? How is it used?

Is the Bible the spine of CTC? Or, is Bible History tied into the program in another way? I couldn't completely tell on the links if the Bible was the spine or not for the two programs. Thank you! (The links overall though were helpful).
