I recently reported that ds was doing much better with English 3. This morning when doing English 2 with dd, the lesson was on am and is and how they don't show action, but they are still verbs. I just added myself, "They aren't action verbs like run, jump, but they are being verbs." Dd (7) says, "Being verbs, you mean like: am, is, are, was, were, be, been, being?" I told her yes and said she must have been listening to her brother's lessons. She said she's heard it a million times

and we both started laughing.

So don't skip those oral review questions, someone else might be listening in.
