Extension Package--Instead of or in addition to?

Extension Package--Instead of or in addition to?

Sorry for all of my "newbie" questions, but I have one more ...

If you choose to use the books in the extension package, do you use them instead of the Independent History Study books or in addition to them? TIA! :D

We always use them in addition to, but I don't know if that is how the guides are written. I don't want them missing out on anything so we do both. I don't always have them do the narrations on the extensions on the daily basis. I sometimes do end-of-book activities to discuss the book/DVD, etc. It just depends on the resource and where our instructional needs are. We do the History Reading as written though.

I've done all the guides now with at least one child and still feeling the HOD LOVE. LOL!

We use them in addition to the Independent History study books!

They are to be used in addition to the guide as written...so you do all the guide then the student does the extensions independently with follow ups :)

Ask all the questions you want, even when y ou're past the newbie phase! This is my 4th year with HOD and I STILL ask questions and love all the help I get.
