Medievel History-Based Writing Lessons

Post by annaz » Fri Jan 20, 2012 9:27 am

I'm going over the sample and it's telling me that it's assumed that we have watched or attended the "Teaching Writing: Structure and Style" and understand the IEW method of teaching writing.

Well, um...nope on both counts.

Will I flounder?

I hadn't done any other IEW program prior to this one and I am not having trouble understanding what they want. There are plenty of examples in the teacher guide and Carrie's plans also give guidance if it is needed. It really isn't hard to figure out.

I read on here somewhere that Carrie said she felt you didn't need to do the videos and what not. She said that this level is stand alone. We are loving this curriculum and like Lynn says it is very clear what needs to be done by using the HOD guide.

Hope that eases your mind a bit! :D
