Today was our first day back after a 1 1/2 week break. It seemed to me in December that LHFHG wasn't quite reaching my ds6/1st grade where he is at. So I moved him up to Beyond today. He absolutely Loved it! It is the most interest I have ever seen him show in school. My 8 & 4 year old joined in quite a bit with him too. We had a Great discussion about responsibility and responsibility around the house and responsibility to the family. Wonderful!!
Thank you Carrie. It really clicked today.
Blessings,

Carin,
I'm so glad to hear this!

Finding the right HOD fit can be a bit of a journey, but you can usually tell when you're headed in the right direction!

Thank you for the update, as I've been wondering which direction you ended up heading.
Blessings,
Carrie

Thank you Carrie! My DH and I prayed about it and we decided to go ahead and order Bigger for my oldest. It just looks the perfect fit for him, and uses the English 2 and Singapore 2A that he has been doing since September. I think it will make as big a difference for him (8/2nd grade) as Beyond is making for my ds6/1st grade. The Bible today in Beyond was absolutely wonderful. We had some more good discussion both as a Bible study and on character issues that really matter to my heart. Wonderful!

It makes all the difference to find the right fit.

Congrats, Carin!

Sounds like you found a great fit now - way to be diligent about fine tuning the right fit your dc! I agree - the character discussions are a mom's best friend. I am so thankful for having HOD backing me up and keeping us going in the right direction with our dc. It creates time and purpose for character-based discussions, and I feel like I'm "supported" in not only my teaching, but also my parenting with HOD.

Carin,
I'm so glad to hear this! I pray you will find a wonderful fit in Bigger Hearts as well.

Getting started in the right program is half the battle, and the fit is so important as you journey further down the HOD path. What a loving mom you are to work to find the right mix for your kiddos.
Blessings,
Carrie
