sorta newbie

Post by golfmom » Mon Nov 21, 2011 7:58 pm

Hi! I just wanted to introduce myself. I have used HOD for the past two years and read the message boards daily but this is my first attempt at posting. I have to confess that I am horrible at anything at all technical so I hope I'm doing this right. I have 3 awesome kids. My oldest daughter is 9, my youngest daughter 7, and my son is 5. We have used Beyond and Bigger. My oldest will be finishing up Bigger in March and has already told me that she doesn't want to wait untill fall to get started on Preparing. Could she please start Preparing in April? What mom could say no to that? Not this one! She's just too excited. Thank you Carrie for making school so much fun. She doesn't even realize that most kids would run screaming if they were "made" to do school! Especially in the summer. Again, thank you Carrie for all you hard work in making this journey such a joy. Also, thank you to all the ladies on this board. You all have been such a blessing to me and I hope that maybe I will be a blessing to you. Thanks for "listening". Now I'm going to hold my breath and push submit (I wasn't kidding about the technical stuff!!). Lori

Welcome! :D Your post came through just fine, and it's nice to meet you, Lori!

I'm so glad that your daughter is enjoying HOD so much! My children love it too! There are so many kind and wise ladies on the message board. I bet they will be a great blessing to you, just like they have been for me! :D
Blessings,
Elisabeth

I just wanted to thank you all for such a kind welcome. This is sort of stepping out of my comfort zone. Not the talking (I'm a chatterbox  ) just the doing it via this silly computer. Just reading your repplies shows how much there is to learn. But you learn by doing so thanks for being patient while I learn. Lori

Lori,

I am so glad that you posted and that you are an HOD board reader. :D It's so nice to "meet" you. I am technologically challenged, so if I can post... so can you! You did great. :D

We look forward to sharing the HOD journey with you. :D

Blessings,
Carrie

Thank you so much Carrie. One of the many reasons I love HOD is that I can "talk" to the author. There's not another curriculum choice out there like that. So, thanks again for your hard work and for being available to all us.
