Bigger Half Speed or Doubling up?

Post by tnahid » Mon Oct 03, 2011 8:11 am

Does anyone do Bigger just half speed, like 2 or 3 days a week? I am talking about the left side only. I am just finding it difficult to do every day because it seems to take us so long to get it all done each day, with LHFHG too. Or does anyone double up on some days instead of every day? I am just curious! Thanks!

We double up occasionally. Like we'll do 3 days worth of school in 2 days. Normally when the 5th day is one of those days. How long have you been doing it? It took us a couple of months to get into a routine with it, but now we can knock it out pretty quickly. I generally have Jayden (Bigger) doing her ind work (math, cursive, copywork, vocab, reading, notebooking, whatever she can do by herself) and while she's doing that I do LHFHG with Grace and LHTH with Julianna while Grace is doing her ind work (handwriting or fine motor skills or math)

I agree with it being a process that you have to work into. It took us a really long time to start with, but we're getting it done quicker as our days progress. I don't go half speed because my daughter is already on the high end of the book range, and we don't double up, because one day of it all seems to be a good chunk. I can't imagine adding more.
