A good book/resource please

Post by MamaBear23Cubs » Thu Apr 24, 2008 11:15 pm

We just started Bigger and DD8 is enjoying however we just moved away from the ocean and she wants to do the activities from the book, One Small Square: Seashore. So to improvise, I am going to take the kids to Lake Michigan, it's the cloest thing I can get to currently. Is there any books about freshwater or something simliar to the layout of the One Small Square books. Funny how we have been living near the ocean for the past five years but never really explored it. Now we cannot wait to move back next year to exlpore it. We lived in the New England area for the past 3 years. Or some extra ideas on what we can do there. We also have the Dunes and cannot wait to check them out.

I found this book in the library... took it when we went camping. Its more for a pond but it does show more of what is living near fresh water. And very useful to explore the boggy areas of the great lakes. It has lots of hands on activites for summer tho.

heres another one we enjoyed Eye Witness books are always so well done.
