Reading Made Easy or Reading Lessons

Post by blessedmama » Wed Aug 17, 2011 3:50 pm

I have been using "Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons" with my first two children and it worked fine because they just automatically picked up all the other phonics on their own. However, my ds #3 needs more phonics so we decided to use one of the curriculums from HOD with our last two dc. Can anyone give me some suggestions/opinions as to what they like and why?

Thanks a ton!! :D

I have to recommend The Reading Lesson. My daughter is halfway through it and she has blown my mind at how much she has absorbed in the last few months. It's simple and gives enough repitition to allow the new rule learned to stick before moving on to the next. I am so happy with this method.

We loved the Reading Lesson. I used the cd as well as a reward. I have used it with kids that have learned easily to read and those that have struggled. Even used tit o help with fluency with my dd who has CP. To me it is the best reading program I have tried. :D Super easy to use and super effective.
