A Thank You to Those Who Share Their Weeks...
As the start of the school year was down to the wire, I was still wavering between HOD and another curriculum. Back and forth, back and forth, thinking I'd made up my mind for good and then changing it again.
Once I found the HOD boards, and read posts and blogs from those of you generous enough to share your weekly experiences in photos and words, I had no trouble at all making up my mind to go with HOD.
I just want to thank those of you that post on the Weekly Check-in boards. The HOD program itself is what drew me to consider it, but the experiences of families who are using the program is what put me "over the top".
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I completely agree.
I have been using the Week in Review pics to help my son understand the daily assignments as well as the finished product with the CTC notebook. These pictures and reviews are so valuable to us!
Thank you again.

We just finished our first week of HOD, but I just have to chime in here. The pictures and weekly reviews are also what drew me in. It's one thing to read reviews, get on the website or catalog and see the curriculum, but it's quite another to see pictures of projects and happy children. That's what sold me. Thank you all for sharing!!!

I enjoy reading the check-ins and seeing the pictures too though I don't make it over there as often as I would like. I only posted a few times last year, but I will try to do better and post more this year. I have to try to remember to take more pictures!

Totally agree. When I was pretty set on HOD, and just needed to purchase it, I loved looking at all the old Week in Reviews. I remember asking, "Is all this planned in the guide?"
It truly is and it was easy to do. With that said, I need to try and be better at posting week in reviews as well once we start our new year.

I have also used the week in reviews for help in seeing some "finished product" pictures. I have never added anything over there, and often nag myself about needing to do that. I started a blog once, and only ended up doing 2 or 3 posts before I completely gave it up. I need to get better about taking pictures and such. I know I will regret it one day.
But to those of you who do this, I agree, a Big Thank You!

Re: A Thank You to Those Who Share Their Weeks...
I'm so glad to read this!
I too really enjoy the weekly reviews. They are a little window into each other's lives, and the smiling faces of all of those dc just does the heart good. I try to do a weekly review each week we do school, and I have found that it really helps me see the progress my dc are making that I might otherwise miss. It also helps me take pictures more often, and I know someday I will enjoy putting all of these pictures in a family photobook. Finding the joy in our homeschooling and sharing it with others really encourages everyone - the people using HOD and looking at the weekly reviews, the people using HOD and posting on the weekly reviews, and even the people trying to find out more about HOD and reading the weekly views. Thanks to all who share and all who read what's shared!

Julie
