Help with Beyond...

Post by off2workigo » Fri Jul 29, 2011 6:23 pm

Now that we've decided to use Beyond with our little half classroom/half homeschooled 1st grader, I need to buy it piecemeal.

I'm planning on getting the Economy package right away, and the other components that aren't covered in her school program (science, the devotional).

My question is...can anyone tell me the first three or four emergent readers that go with this set? I'd like to buy them before the year starts. Thank you.

Here is a link to the Emerging Readers. They are listed in order of use, and it tells which units each book is used in.

You'll need to pick one of the Bibles. That will cover the 1st 9 units. The Early Readers Bible has a more controlled vocabulary than The Beginners Bible, so it is the easier of the 2.

Awesome! Thanks for the sequential list of emergent readers. AND for a reminder about the Bibles. We actually OWN The Beginner's Bible from my older daughter...I can just have her read and see if it's too hard or not!

I love how freely help is given on these message boards!

Thank you,

I actually have found that I can get a lot of the storytime books, and probably the emerging readers books too, from my library. Interlibrary loan and I can sign in online to reserve books that my library actually owns. Great resources, especially on a budget. Of course I have checked out some great things that I've decided now we have to buy in order to have for future children going through these guides so I think I'm going to set myself a budget of $15 or $20 a month to pick up a few books each month for school purposes.

I signed up for Amazon Mom so now I get free 2 day shipping on any order, pretty dangerous!
