Now we're ready to start Little Hearts in the fall! We're so excited! :D

Just last night I was having a very serious case of "Honey, I don't think homeschooling is right for us after all, let's just put her in school for K". :( Then today we received our box and though I'm still feeling completely adrift, now I have something to hold on to! Just in time!

Yay Kristin! :D Love that little princess all ready to enjoy school with you.

LHFHG is a GREAT program - you can definitely do it!! And, you'll love it just as much as LHTH, I'm sure. We had a great time with it at our house. I'll actually be diving back into that one next month with Garret. Happy Box Day!

LHFHG is such a wonderful program. I learned so much from it that I never learned in Sunday school growing up. You will have a wonderful year with it! :D

What a precious little princess you have on your hands! :D LHFHG is such a great guide to teach, and once you have a few weeks under your belt, you are going to be thinking "This is cake!" You totally can do this, and someday your dd is going to thank you for it. LHFHG helped lead our dc to know Jesus more personally. It also helped them to have a one year sweep of history as a foundation to build subsequent learning upon. It helped them begin to read, begin to write, begin to figure math out - it is an amazing thing to be the one to teach your child those things and to have the joy that brings. We're here for you - but no worries - a wonderful year is ahead of you and your little princess! :D :D :D

In Christ,

Thank you so much for the encouragement. As someone who has always made by-the-seat-of-my-pants decisions, I was wondering if the decision TO homeschool was one of my passing whims or if the desire NOT to do it was one of my passing whims... I confess I was getting sucked back into the world, and wanting a "normal" childhood for my kids - one that included traditional school and all that goes with it. Now that I've had some time praying and being prayed for fervently by my husband, I realize that it is the enemy who wants to keep me from raising up my children focused on Christ.

After my temporary freak out and support from you all and my amazing husband, I'm back on track. DH doesn't usually get involved in the curriculum stuff, he trusts me to make a good decision, but he went through ALL the LHFHG materials (and I think he read most of History for Little Pilgrims) and said very earnestly that this is a great program and we are making the right decision with it. Looking forward to reporting back some good news with LHFHG, though we still have 6 more fun weeks with LHTH.

Disaster averted...We're excited again. :D

Kristin, I have those discouraging thoughts/feelings sometimes too. What has been a great help for me has been this. Three homeschool Moms and I get together once a month to share our thoughts/feelings/prayer needs with each other. We pray for each other during our "meeting" and also throughout the month. I know that I can share anything with these ladies and it will be kept confidential. This has been a great support and encouragement for me ... maybe something like this would help you?

Enjoy LHFHG! :D
