We are getting ready to order PHFHG...
My 10 year old is reading on a 6th-7th grade level...should I do Level 2/3 or 4/5 Drawn into the Heart of Reading?
Or other suggestions?
Thanks!

Re: New here...question...
Welcome! We're glad to have you here. I'll just move your post over to the Main Board, so more moms will see it. All new posts begin on the Main Board.
If your child can do a page of graphic organizer type written work each reading session without stress, is ready for some independence, and has had some formal literature study in the past, then I'd place your child in DITHR Level 4/5. If, however, your child has any writing issues, is new to literature study, or prefers to complete all lessons with you, then I would do Level 2/3.
In either instance, you may choose higher level books for your child to read along with whatever student book you use. I'd lean toward either the 4/5 Girl Set or the 5/6 Girl Set if you plan to use an HOD pack with DITHR. Otherwise, you can use any book you choose with the program instead.
Blessings,
Carrie
