I have been seriously considering this myself. We live in NC and it is just too hot to go outside in the summer. We don't ride bikes, go to the park or do much of anything else in July or August. But the days are beautiful in the fall and spring. I heard one woman say she starts her school year right after the conference season when she is re-invigorated and full of ideas. That in itself is a great idea plus it made sense to me as it would correspond to starting when our weather is so miserable. However we will just be finishing up our school year this week and doing our testing nest week. So, I may only take 4 weeks off this year and then start school late July to try to get us onto a "school when we can't be outside" schedule.

I will be praying about our start date over the next week.
