Preparing for Preparing

Post by girlboygirlboy » Sat Jun 18, 2011 1:36 pm

Last year you all were so helpful in giving me links to see how you all prepared for Bigger(setting up binders, composition books, index cards, etc). Can anyone point me to a link that would have the same for Preparing?

Thanks so much!

Could I get a link to the preparing for Bigger question that you asked last year?

Thanks!

Here's the link to the question I asked and includes a link where Julie shows how she prepped for Bigger...

I can tell you what we used this year. He had a binder for history and one for science. We used page protectors and tab dividers. For history the binder was divided into; projects, notebooking, independent history, and written narrations. For science the binder was divided into; notebooking, science experiments, and answers to questions. We used the index card box for vocab. We used comp. books for common place book, grammar, math, and dictation. I think that is all.

Here are some threads that should be helpful...

PHFHG time it takes:

PHFHG Timeline Pictures:

Supplies for PHFHG:

I'll be doing PHFHG this coming year with Riley, once he has finished out his last 5 weeks or so of BHFHG, and I'm going to try to snap pics of getting ready for PHFHG, however, that won't be helpful as it'll probably be later than you're starting. I hope some of these links can help, but reading the "Introduction" and reading through the directions for things in the "Appendix" really helps me prepare to teach a new HOD guide too. HTH - have fun preparing for Preparing! :D
