Lisa...that just happened to me in MFW ECC...he read something and pointed out to me that it looked like it pointed to evolution rather than having been made by a creator...I told him "let's look in the guide to see if they told me about that"...and they had - I had just missed flipping the page to find the note. I have read points that both MFW & HOD do use books that sometimes have content that may prompt discussion about our beliefs...but in both cases I have read that Marie Hazell & Carrie Austin both do a great job of pointing these out to the parent in the guide. (For instance - I'm sure this will come up when studying Greeks & mythology - but we are not in that time period yet.) I do not mind explaining to my 10 yr old the differences in other beliefs...but I do appreciate when it is shown in the guide so I can be sure to talk about it. I just missed it in the MFW manual..due to the page flipping for all the notes in the weekly stuff. I was better in the 1st part of the year @ previewing - but as the year has progressed - I guess I got lax and missed it - funny thing though that he is so use to my discussion of these items that he brought it up himself & asked for the discussion! This is a really big reason that I have looked into a curriculum such as MFW & HOD - I have tons of volunteer activities so I need the assistance from the curriculum writer!
