Preparing Extension Package Question

Hello all. This is our first year doing HOD and my oldest (11) will be doing Preparing. (My friend said to not skip this guide as it has been so foundational for her children's growth in the study of the Word.) So, I placed him here and will be doing the extension package as he is a 6th grader.

So, in looking at the book, it does list in the Independent Study box the non-extension pack books.... (ie. Trojan horse, etc.) So how do I know which to use for the extension pack as connected to these boxes? For example, when will I schedule Beorn the Proud?

Is there something that lists this and I just missed it?

Welcome to HOD! you're in for a great year! We will also be using Preparing this fall and I'm so excited! It is quite a pivotal year so I think it's wise to start there if that's where your son places. I'll be using is with my 5th grade girl and have the extension pack to use in addition to the books scheduled in the guide. You'll find the schedule for those, as well as info about what assignments to add along with them, in the appendix. And if you have any wuesions about how to implement any of it, just come on back and let us help you!

Wow....that would have been good to check in the appendix. LOL I looked on line and through the lessons.
