Stone Fox

can I just say how shocking this book was to me? :) I've never read it before and was marking it for DD1 to read for DITHOR and started reading. I was bawling at the end! I'm excited for her to read it... I'm interested in what her reaction will be. :) That is all... I'm just thankful for the books HOD picks.

My ds just finished chapter 6 (I think) today. I'm curious to hear the ending. And if it's sad, I'll cry for sure!
Blessings,
Elisabeth

I don't know if I'll say sad, I didn't read the beginning of the book... but I'm a crier, haha! It was more shocking than sad and triumphant and overwhelming and just a bunch of stuff all rolled in together!

HAHAHA! I wrote a very similar post about a month or so ago! I think it should have come with a "tear-jerker" warning! But then I'm an easy cryer. My dd was picking on me for crying. I had read it as a child but didn't remember the ending...just that I had liked it. It is such a good book. :D

I found the ending to be VERY sad. To this day I can't read it without crying. My ds is very sensitive, so I've decided to hold off reading it until he's older and more mature. I think it's a very good book, I just know he's not ready yet.

Yikes! I'll have to avoid that one for my sensitive daughter and sensitive self! I don't like anything that makes me (or her) cry! Thanks for the heads up!
