Literature Expansion for Beyond?

Hi Carrie,
I was looking at my Little Hearts manual, planning for my youngest for the summer/fall. Anyway, I just noticed that for Little Hearts there is the book list in the back for extra read-alouds and for Bigger there is the extension pack that could be used as extra read-alouds. But Beyond doesn't seem to have such a list.

Do have any such list lurking somewhere (or plans to create one)? I know its not neccessary, but we enjoyed reading the extra books when we did Little Hearts last time and I just don't have any of my own ideas for Beyond...

The "extra" books in "Beyond..." are considered to be the books listed in the Appendix for the various genres. So, there are 4 chapter books (sometimes more) listed for each genre that you are studying. Every one of those titles are excellent (and are not duplicated later). So, for extra reading, you'd want to get in as many of those as you can. In another post, I was just mentioning the creative ways we try to cover them at our house, since I am a book lover too.

Also, each week of the emerging reader schedule has an extra book title given for supplementary reading for the kiddos too.

Thanks Carrie. I will definitely grab some of the other books. I didn't realize they aren't repeated in any of the other guides. Good to know!

Yeah! I had no idea there were extra books in Beyond not repeated anywhere else. I was thinking we would snatch things from LHFHG appendix and just let some of them carry over. But I can already see that won't work because they want me to read every book I have for the LHFHG book list NOW!
