What DD does while learning Bible verses

Post by Joselle173 » Tue Mar 22, 2011 3:59 pm

Her new thing is to jump rope while repeating the memory verse of the week. I guess when she tires of that, we'll bring in the hoola hoop! lol!

I loved reading this! :D :D :D In fact, if I wasn't nearing 40 and frightened at the thought of me skipping rope, I'd be right there with her! Back in the day, I could jump rope with the best of the little gals, but we were saying silly rhymes I didn't even get the meaning of... how much better to be skipping rope with the Lord working on the heart at the same time - keep jumping little gal - there are many neat Bible verses to be hidden in your heart in the HOD years to come too. :D

I think this is a cute idea and have heard of it done for math but I can never get it done. I always worry it is going to take too long to do the work but today I let my DS8 do his handwriting while laying on the ground in our backyard. He loved it until the rain started  I just don't know how to make stuff like this work. My boys get loud and lose focus when they move around, would I have a list of problems to have them do for math? Or have them repeat after me for Bible verses?
