How to buy this curr...

Post by mommyx3 » Wed Feb 23, 2011 6:19 pm

Hi,
I am new here, and new to hsing. I just came upon this site and everything sounds great!!! I am totally confused though!!! I have 3 children: ds 5, will be 6, ds 4, will be 5, and dd 3. I was thinking of putting my younger two together with Little Hands, and my oldest with Little Hearts.I have no idea how to purchase everything. Are there packages, what "extra" books do I get, and what about math? I looked at all of the pages on the site, and i'm still confused! Can anyone help me??
Thanks in advance,
Jenny :P

For Little Hands just order the 4/5 package. For LHFHG, is the to-be-6-year-old considered a K or a 1st grader? Chose either the K or 1st grade economy and basic packages. Then choose your Bible, handwriting and phonics choices. If the to-be-5-year-old is going to be K? If so you might possible want to add a couple of other things.

For Little Hands you just need to buy one package. The 3/4 or 4/5 would work. For Little Hearts you need to decide if you want your ds to do the kindergarten or 1st grade track.
1. Choose either the kindergarten or 1st grade economy package, which is your guide, history, and basic skills. The only thing that changes in that package is the basic skills books.
2. Choose either the kindergarten or 1st grade basic package, which is your math, science, devotional, and music. The devotional and music are the same. If you feel it necessary, you can mix the levels. For example, I ordered the kindergarten basic but 1st grade economy packages for my son.
3. Choose a phonics book or the emerging reader set if your son is reading at that level. You will see you have two choices for a phonics book, or you can use your own if you prefer.
4. Choose either the kindergarten or 1st grade handwriting book. The 1st grade book will get into copying Bible texts and would be for a child that has been writing a little bit.
5. Choose a Bible or use your own
I hope that helps.

I just noticed the other day that there was this new feature on the page that shows the package shttp://www.heartofdakota.com/little-hearts-packages.php . In the upper right hand side there is a light bulb and if you click the part that says "Helpful Tips On How To Order" there is a great little chart that walks you through it. Did you notice it and does it help? Perhaps it has really been there for a long time and I just finally noticed it myself. Anyway of that does not work maybe it will show you where you are stuck and then the ladies on the board can help fix the snafoos for you. :D
