Radio Show about Alexander the Great for those doing CTC

Post by LynnH » Fri Feb 04, 2011 5:44 pm

My ds is learning about Alexander the Great in CTC. He was pretty excited about this because he remembered learning some about him in Preparing. As I was looking at something else I found a free archive of an Old Time Radio Show called "You Are There" that has 3 shows on the Rise of Alexander the Great. They are done as if a reporter was there at the time. We listened to the first one in the car today and he loved it because he knew the background of the story and it was kind of a cliff hanger, but he already knew the ending thanks to his history reading today. I thought I would post the link if anyone wanted to listen to them also. You have to scroll down towards the bottom of the page to see them. http://www.archive.org/details/You_Are_There_OTR.

What a neat idea - I'll have to remember this with my second kiddo when he goes through CTC! :D
