Sorry-an OT post-we need prayers....

Post by striving2Bprov31 » Sun Jan 23, 2011 6:51 pm

I love being a part of this board. There is always encouragement to be found here!!

That is why I am posting this here...

I hope I have encouraged you all as I have had opportunities to do so.

We need prayers desperately right now. We are going through a terrible ordeal financially from the loss of our business. The strain and stress has elevated to a point that is beyond what we feel able to bear. We are so discouraged, and trying so hard to look for the Lord in this.

I HATE going through day-to-day life feeling like the weight of the world is upon us. I just want to be there for my kids and husband...not be stressed out!!

The Lord spoke something to my heart the other day......we cannot waste time worrying about our finances. We can only do our best and be obedient to Him in all of this. The Lord reminded me that the Son of Man himself did not even have a place to lay His head!!! The King of Kings himself did not have a place to lay His head!! Our "worst" financially is still more comfortable than 75% of the rest of the world!!! Anyway...

But we are just really down right now. Feel like a deer in the headlights!!

We also need so much wisdom right now as to what decision would be pleasing to the Lord.

Prayers would be appreciated!!
Thank you, Ladies!!!

Dear Liz, I have lifted your family to the throne. It is no cliche to say simply that life is hard, but God is good. In His perfect economy, this awful time is sifted through His loving fingers for the benefit of your family. Keep trusting; and abide in Him.

Lifting you up, Liz...praying Psalm 91 over you now...

1Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 This I declare about the Lord:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I trust him.
3 For he will rescue you from every trap
and protect you from deadly disease.
4 He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
5 Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night,
nor the arrow that flies in the day.
6 Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness,
nor the disaster that strikes at midday.
7 Though a thousand fall at your side,
though ten thousand are dying around you,
these evils will not touch you.
8 Just open your eyes,
and see how the wicked are punished.

9 If you make the Lord your refuge,
if you make the Most High your shelter,
10 no evil will conquer you;
no plague will come near your home.
11 For he will order his angels
to protect you wherever you go.
12 They will hold you up with their hands
so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.
13 You will trample upon lions and cobras;
you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet!

14 The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me.
I will protect those who trust in my name.
15 When they call on me, I will answer;
I will be with them in trouble.
I will rescue and honor them.
16 I will reward them with a long life
and give them my salvation.
