We are having such a fun week with Beyond!

Post by Tree House Academy » Tue Oct 26, 2010 10:20 am

This week, my older son is off with is dad visiting, so my younger son and I are going it alone in school. We have really taken our time to savor Beyond this week and both of us are just loving it so much! The stories about the pilgrims has my little one sitting on the edge of his seat each week. Today, they were attacked by Indians as they looked for a place to settle and ds begged me to keep reading. We are also going through Sarah Whitcher's Story and ds begs me to keep reading it too. Using HOD completely as written this year has been such a blessing to us. I wish that everyone could experience this kind of peace and joy in their homeschools. :) I just wanted to share my happiness today!

Rebecca,

We are nearing the end of Beyond, about 5 weeks away from the end, and are truly enjoying our time in it too! :D I loved Sarah Witcher's Story. It is one of my favorites, and my boys have all loved it too. :D We're on the flatboat stories on the Ohio River right now and had such a good time with our "flatboat" today. We pray Beyond may continue to be a blessing to your family. Thanks for sharing! You made my day! :D

Blessings,
Carrie

Rebecca,

Sharing in your happiness as you spend special time with your son during school time with Beyond, learning about the Pilgrims and the Indians. :D
It's so satisfying to see our kiddos truly engaged, isn't it?

My daughter totally enjoyed reading about Pocahontas (Pocahontas and the Strangers), Squanto (Squanto Friend of the Pilgrims), and she always wants more of the American Pioneers and Patriots stories. :D I would have never guessed that she would be so engaged during the readings, and she always had plenty of pertinent questions during and after our readings.

We haven't read Sarah Witcher's Story yet but, it sounds like a gem.

Thanks for letting us share in your joy!

Candice :D
