Cursive assignments in CTC

Hi all,

I am just combing over the guide and making sure my son is hitting all his cursive assignments for the week. And I'm only seeing cursive assignments for 2 days a week. I am probably missing the fine print. Would someone who is using or has used CTC point out to me which boxes the cursive assignment is in each day or let me know what you had your child do in cursive to keep them practicing? Thanks so much!

Huh? We are using CTC and my son is 11. I don't even think I have ever noticed anything about cursive in there. We write cursive all the time and he does lots of writing for CTC (thus getting lots of practice). Now I feel like maybe *I* am missing something! LOL

Okay I finally found what I was looking for ...on many weeks each day there is one box that directs the child to "carefully copy xxxxxx in cursive." It appears that some weeks this assignment doesn't fall on every day. There is a bit of a pattern to the assignments. And I knew he must be missing the Common Place Book assignment which I found in the Poetry box on the 4th day. My ds prefers to use manuscript, so I wanted to remind him when and where he should "practice" cursive. I just went through the manual and hilighted everywhere it said to use cursive.

Oh good...I was so confused!

The Common Place Book is actually in the Self Study Bible box, I think, but I knew what you were talking about there. We just do cursive all the time for older ds, so I had never paid attn to it specifically saying, "copy in cursive."
