I took dd's narration page from the back, copied it and laminated it and she keeps it. Brilliant!!!

I took the extension package page from the back and typed them all out on address labels and stuck them to the proper Unit and day, so if I wanted to use them, I didn't have to flip. I may have to do this with DS's math since the 1st grade for Little is in the appendix. Drives me nuts having to flip there from my current page
For Dictation, I type them on an avery label 2"x4" with the dictation on it. Then stick them to an index card for dd. Although I may just print them like the label shows, just not on labels and cut dd's out. I just make another copy for me. I'm confused  are you typing and printing what she is dictating to you?
I type out the poem for dd so she has her copy and I flip (gasp!) to that! I'll be stealing this too!

DH picked me up a cheap planner from Walmart. It's pretty much just a blank calendar...there are other pages for classroom teachers that I don't use...attendance, grades, etc. We have to teach health in our state, so I'm using it for that too...I just write down what health topics we discuss. I figure if someone comes knocking at my door, I can show them the planner and the HOD guide and be set.

One of my entries might say:
3-2
read poetry
gymnastics

It's very basic. 3-2 is for Unit 3 Day 2, so I don't have to copy every little thing down.

Marcee,
First I just want to add that I'm praying for you. We need a hug smilie. The tabs I use are these, mine are actually different colors. I used the others on the pg I linked to as well. I just don't like how thin they are. I liked the one inch ones a lot better.

The Dictation is the Spelling in the back of the book. I do this so she can study it first and we both have a copy. Then she can check her own without me giving up my TM at the moment and if she gets anything wrong, she has her own card to circle the errors.

I'm using all of LHFHG for ds 5 and LHFHG left side plus story time and Beyond right side math, spelling/LA. Here is what I did.
I cut the binding and 3 ring punched both guides. I have 3 binders I work from. One binder is very thick. I took each week and and put day 1 LHFHG then I put day 1 right side Beyond and then right side LHFHG. So each day of LHFHG has the same day, right side of Beyond, sandwiched in the middle. Does that make sense? That way I only have to look at one guide and flip one page a day. I keep 6 weeks at a time in a smaller binder with the current rhymes in motion in the front pocket of my 3 ring binder (no flipping). I made a master list of the Bible verses that also stay in the front pocket of my binder. I have WriteStart work sheet maker and typed up all the copy work and put it onto a binder with writing paper. I took the spelling words and wrote out 6 Weeks worth of spelling words on note cards and put it into a note card box with dividers. In the same binder with the copy work I put a tab and put paper for spelling and LA. So all writing is in one binder.
I also have a very thin binder where I keep a weekly grid that I made in the computer with each subject that I do daily. Beside each subject is 5 boxes one for each of the 5 days in the unit. I check off each subject immediately after I finish. When I have checked each subject for each student each day, I know I have done all the boxes in the guide.
I know this may sound confusing, but I am not having to flip around 2 guides. It is all there in one 3 ring binder with one page to flip a day and the extra weekly sheets are in the binder pockets for easy access.
