Hi New Here

Post by SnowButterfly » Wed Aug 25, 2010 2:54 pm

Hi I am new to the boards...My name is Kate, and I am interested in using Heart of Dakota later this school year with my kindergartener and Pre-K child. I have homeschooled in the past for 7 years then took 3 years off due to an accident my husband had. Now I am going to be homeschooling my 4 youngest this year and forever, I hope...I may also use it with my 7th grader, though I am not sure if it will be a good fit for him. Anyways, I am just saying hello and I have lots of reading to do as I can see there is a lot of information here...

I do want to say that HOD looks like the best of everything I liked about several different curriculums all rolled into 1!

Thanks again!
Kate :D

Hi and welcome to HOD message board! :D

You'll find this to be an excellent source of information on the programs and how they all work. There are some really wonderful ladies here that are so good about helping you figure things out!

You'll also want to spend a little time with the placement chart. http://www.heartofdakota.com/placing-your-child.php It is really key in getting the right fit for each child. The programs here are excellent and really do a great job of keeping Christ at the center of our schooldays. There is also a thread on the main board that is a sticky about making the programs work for older kids, too. You may decide to check that one out for your 7th grader. . . . . just a thought!

I wish you the best as you get to know HOD and figure out what will work best for your sweet kiddos! Just keep asking questions here until you get the answers you need! :D

In Christ,

Lisa

P.S. I had to edit a whole bunch to get my link to work!!!!

Hello and welcome! I am using Lhfhg for K with my almost 6yo ds and it is going great! I also got lhth for my 3yo dd, but she kind of lost interest after the new wore off. These two are so much fun! I don't have much experience here, but so far so good for us!
