Typing
Will typing be taught in one of the later guides? Or is that something we just do ourselves? We have been adding it but I think they have learned enough that we could leave it off this year if it will be reinforced later on.

Re: Typing
Leah,
With our own kiddos we've waited to do a formal, daily scheduled typing time until grade 8 and now on into high school. Prior to that my boys had a hard time holding their hands in the correct typing positions to reach the letters. I'm not sure whether we will schedule a typing program or not through HOD, as each family varies as to their goals for when this skills should be taught. I know that in the public school, we had to teach typing as early as third grade, but found it a tough task for kiddos whose fingers weren't long enough to correctly reach the letters with the corresponding fingers. So, for our family we have opted to wait until late middle school and up to really focus on it.
Blessings,
Carrie
