LHFHG History ?

Post by 3smoches » Fri Jul 16, 2010 2:48 pm

Hi I was wondering if somone could help me... I am using LHFHG and I reached Unit 32 day 5 and I noticed that the scheduled reading for that day included History Stories for Little Children p 245-246. Well the book only goes up to page 196. I received an alternate reading schedule when I received my box, (I guess this is an updated book) so I have been using that. The schedule did not however go past Unit 31. I noticed that Unit 33 day 1 also has a scheduled reading in this book, but again doesnt fit with the lesson. What did you guys do on those days?
Thanks for any input :)

Hi! We also went by the alternate schedule and noticed the same thing. :D On Unit 32 Day 5 we just did the History for Little Pilgrims pages 105-106 only.

Then, on Unit 33 Day 1, we used History Stories for Children pages 111-112.

Yeah, I couldn't figure it out either so I just did the other reading like the other ladies here said. It's not just you. :)

When we did it , a couple months ago, we did -

Unit 32: Day 5 p. 168-169 (it mentions flags and that was talked about in one of the HOD boxes)

Unit 33: Day 1 p. 111-112

On our alternate schedule for Unit 31 we didn't read History Stories....
because it didn't make sense to me.

Glad you mentioned this . i forgot i had fixed the schedule on my paper.

I didn't originally post this, but thanks so much for your help! I just went through my history box for the year and I have one other question as I have lost/misplaced my alternate schedule. What am I supposed to read in History Stories for Children for Unit 22 Day 5. It's about the reformation, and fighting over religion on Europe. The other resources talks about Westminister Abby, Charles I, and the Puritans. I can't seem to find anything similar in the History Stories for Children book. :?

Thanks!

Oops. Found the alternate schedule...in the front of the book! Oops.

I see that Unit 22 Day 5 should be p47-48. Thanks!
